As part of Luton Junior School commitment to promoting healthy eating for our pupils; during January we will be trialing offering a selection of fresh fruit daily for our children to buy, starting Monday 8th January 2018.
The fruit will be supplied twice weekly to the school by a local grocer.
The cost to parents/carers for their child to receive a carton of fruit will be 20 pence daily. This money is to be paid directly to the class teacher, not into the school office. Pupils do not have to purchase fresh fruit daily if they do not wish to, but can have it as and when they want.
I hope you will support us as we start the New Year with this new incentive.
The school will review whether it is viable to continue offering fresh fruit daily at the end of January. Parents/carers will be notified if we can no longer offer to do so.
